You totally missed the point.

Whatever that stuff may be, the opening of the game does not need to be designed so that my meager gains disappear right away. That bit of demoralizing cruelty was unnecessary.

There are plenty of ways to get me to quest for Adoan w/o resort to that.

Yes, Aadon is a bastard, but I guess if he joins my hero as a companion, that is to make amends for his original betrayal. He is paying for his crimes by fighting for my hero, and dying so many times! I am sure its a painful experience even if he is able to come back to life after.
