Why i cant like Adaon?

(Now as a mage 16, with Hirge)
I realized that Trial and error its the first way to get a Tome of Lost Wisdom, but i cant forget what he did to me. So, anyone can help me? Where can i find some ToLW?
(Please not on SoH)

Most of these tomes are found in SoH.
The observatory is the only one not down there.

Adaon, like him or not, is the only one that can give you an extra bonus skill very early at the Mid Game.

Besides, even if you could take the other tomes earlier, you'd still have 1 less bonus skill if you decide to let Adaon to die so... Not a good choice under any metrics.

And I really don't understand why people hate him so much. I mean, I don't like him because as a companion he absolutely sucks, but I don't loathe his presence just because of what he did

help me please! im level 20 now, using Hirge yet, we just finished the Acient Seal and i want to use Griss now, but first i will play with Adaon just to get that ToLW before go to SoH (i go to SoH with Griss only)
what do you think about that? can you help me? any tips, or something?

Why cant i like him? Because its quite stupid to have him steal all my stuff at the beginning. I have never understood the appeal of demoralizing openings for designers. Is there no other way to manage that? Is it just a love of cruelty?

The first couple of times that happened i simply rage quit. Then i searched for a way around it and of course there is none because eff you.

But when you see something as stupid as that right at the start, it makes you not want to continue the game because you figure the rest of it might be just as stupid. Hence, at present I have decided not to purchase the full game.

Adaon NEEDS to steal your inherietence letter as part of plot progression. That is what guides the player to the areas most suitable for ealry game play. Otherwise the Players would have no direction in a pretty big world.

You likely spent far more time trying to find a way to hack a game than you it would have taken you to progress the game to much better items, stuff and plot.

You totally missed the point.

Whatever that stuff may be, the opening of the game does not need to be designed so that my meager gains disappear right away. That bit of demoralizing cruelty was unnecessary.

There are plenty of ways to get me to quest for Adoan w/o resort to that.

Seja lá o que for, a abertura do jogo não precisa ser projetada para que meus escassos ganhos desapareçam imediatamente. Esse pouco de crueldade desmoralizante era desnecessária.

Há muitas maneiras de me fazer buscar Adoan sem recorrer a isso.

Today im with adaon as my companion and its very funny how he interact with the cities and everything else! as a archer he is almost a litte useful hahahaha! im on the way to Trial And Error (mage lv 21, summoner) i cant wait no more to get griss, the messenger asks me about her all the time!

The whole point is to not like Adaon, which makes the later choice to save him more impactful.

For the benefit of the readers of this forum, the tutorial is designed to introduce players to game mechanics. There's nothing really lost by the end of it. Just a few minutes of game play finds you better stuff.

You can't kill him?! That's weird

I got my revenge, I set up companion to attack everything and let him run to every enemy next to me while watch him die over and over again. Was kind of satisfaction for me
