The Wiki can show you what The Golden Hand offers compared to the Loreseekers sell or train.
The Golden Hand sells Explorer Gauntlets but so does the Golem Trader in the city underneath Lannegar mines.
Not really a choice as neither offers game breaking stuff. More players will choose to oblivate the Golden Hand (by fighting their way in), or by giving one book to the Golden Hand, and the rest to the Loreseekers.

To be a nice person, choose Loreseekers.
But to maximize profits, you'll want to be friends with both! It's possible, as long as you're careful with your reputations. Both have great potions and scrolls at low prices, and the Hand sells awesome magical equipment. Just be nice to both of them! And by being nice, I mean to double-cross the lady merchant in New Garand and sell her pendant to the Golden Hand loll.
