Where can I get 10x fire salts?

Hi all,

I'm stuck completing "three versus eleven" quest.

I have got signatures from:
Sir Andrew Mason-complete (Where did I put my sword)
Kardagis- (pay 1000 for a forgery)

I can't get a signature from:
Fritha Rhyander (Spicing things up) because I double crossed her...oops.

So my only options are:
Gilmour (give him 10 X FIRE SALTS) WHERE DO YOU GET THESE FROM?
or
Latimer (complete Where is Giles) BUT I CAN'T DO THAT YET AS I'M ONLY "TRUSTED" (+34 REP) IN VARSILIA AND NOT "HERO"

Any help on how to get fire salts or hace hero status in Varsilia most welcome!

For hero status, just do some Town Hall quests. Each gives one Reputation.

I was in a similar spot. Getting the rep for Latimer is probably the easier of the two.

The knight random encounter can give you +4 reputation if you agree to let him live. The road between New Garand and KB has at least 4 'random encounter' spawn spots, so if you're going to go looking for the shady traveler or the knight, run that route.

Or you can sleep at an inn in KB, check the spawn point right outside town. If its a merc, bandit gang, or merchant, reload. This should change the spawn and you can try til you get the knight or shady

Or, you can go to the sewers, encounter kadagis and she will forge a set of papers instead of the 10x firesalts.

They are fairly common in Gorx lair, I found enough after 3 runs through.
Of course If you're feeling tough, there are more in the Cauldron.
and yeah, getting rep is easy, I'm up to 78 rep as i keep running into those suicidal knights
