I have just completed both a full minotaur and a full human party on Cruel.
While they were both done for completely different reasons, this did make me think that it might be fun to try beating the current game with a party from every race.
The run would be completed after doing every quest possible including winning the Horn fight.
Companions are allowed regardless though, because there are no companions of other races yet.
So I was thinking about which group I should do next, every choice sounds like it'll have interesting unique advantages and disadvantages.
Goblins would be good for light builds, although their decreased STR does give them some disadvantages for the melee slots.
Also, their innate resistances will make the Horn fight a lot more difficult.
Batrax are fantastic spellcasters and with their increased DEX they might also make for a decent light melee fighter.
However, their decreased END does make it very difficult to build a tanky enough frontal fighter for them, while Garren might partially fit that role, early on, there will still be a need for at least a secondary melee fighter.
Varannari would probably be very similar to the minotaur run, though with a bit less strength and innate defense, but without the need for me to play around a massive food cost each rest.
This is my least favorite choice at the moment, just because I already did a minotaur run and I would most likely use the same team for this run.
