Went backwards?

Hi all. Level 6 Rogue, archery build. 4 agi, 1 end, 2 aware, is my build so far. Using Gris as companion.

I was able to obtain access to thieves guild and became a member. I've also done the Naryu Tomb quest and got the Nivarian cloak, however I realized while in that tomb that there was another quest I could have completed while in there that I couldn't because I had not done previous parts.

This made me realize that I think I have kind of been going out of order with the flow of the game. I got Gris after that escort quest but from there I just started walking all over, just picking up quests, completing a few here and there, some not.(still need that damn small Ruby for the other cloak quest) lol.

I ended up in the sewers on New Garand fighting rats and subsequently Naryu Tomb. I REALLY want to get advanced archery skills and the agi belt from Kardgis, but it's SOO expensive!

I guess the point if this post and question is; should I be retracing my steps or going to other places that are backwards in order to finish/do more quests? Where can I farm all the gold I need for the agi belt and adv skills?

Finally, I am a completionist and do not want to miss any content, how can I make sure I hit everything I need to?

The Wiki will get you most of the answers regarding completionist stuff.

It's free roam game, so it definitely helps to backtrack once and while, talking with everyone. There are some quests which are level dependent, even one where the giver will not appear until you are a certain level.

As for gold, there are more than a few farming threads here in the general forums. Most have good runs for various levels.

Thanks. Actually been reading over farming threads. I just wanted to make sure there weren't any quests where if you miss then first time around your screwed. Lol.

The main missable/uncompletable involves Janod/Ad. Events can lead to eithers 'death' causing at least one quest to be missed and others heavily impacted (WizGuiild)

Yeah, I killed Janod with my main character and have been walking everywhere ever since. Not having the access to teleportation towers makes the boats between cities more laboursome. You get to know exactly where to run, but the amount Karkas has had to run would have worn a clear path - there'd probably be worn ruts made by his Legion boots.

I actually tried to kill Janod with my main warrior, and couldn't do it at the time. I would have been in your boat, had I been stronger at the time. I even reloaded several attempts to kill him, and all failed. Lucky for me I was weak.
