Hello

Am on Web of Terror quest after I find magical barrier I report back to Kanum amd he is supposed to tell me of a one eye man named Sargon per the wiki. However when I go back after inspecting the wall and notifying him, he just says "hope you find a way around it"... does NOT give me any other dialogue options other than to leave. Am I not passing a check or something unbeknownst to me?

I don’t think so, I think your just supposed to infer that the one eyed guy in New Garand is sargos

Nvm, I just reread your post, he doesn’t even tell you about sargos? Maybe you picked a wrong dialogue option somewhere, oh and just making sure you did go through the spider attack on the outpost?

Yeap did spider outpost fight. Won that. Got investigate quest. Went to blue wall. Got journal update from blue wall. Went back to Kanum and nothing. No dialogue nothing to do.

I cant just go to the man that would be out of order the quest will not advance I dont think.

Perhaps bug???

No it is not a glitch, it is intended and Centurion Kannum doesn't have idea that Sargos holds the gem to open the barrier that is why if you don't use the wiki and you don't know what to do next you should gossip in the tavern to find a clue. The man with the deformed eye mentioned in the tavern's clue is referring to Decurion Sargos, this quest is something like Forgotten Lore quest searching for clue about Loreseeker Zaniel, The Prodigal Daughter searching for Zuz'sare the Flame Prophet(a.k.a The Undermother's fire mirmek daughter), Smugglers in the Night finding Rodo and his gang and many other quests which won't give you specific location to find the next step of the quest.

The walkthrough on the Wiki is a bit misleading. Kanum already mentions Sargos during the conversion BEFORE he gives you the quest to investigate the cave. He doesn't mention him again after you investigated the barrier. So I think you already got that information earlier and just overlooked it. You can safely proceed the quest.
