so i think witches and hags are ok but not slaves and hunters???
Post automatically merged:

it looks like killing a slave is ok for Vannari but you lose rep with both Varsilla and illmara.....so do do town hall quests in Merica (america???)

The enemy ones are hags, witches, the druid, and rebel hunters. Rebel hunters are the ones you find hanging around with witches.

The ones you decide the fate of (in terms of violence) are Steel Thunder & her hunters (potential slaves), the Jabal escaped slaves, and the Random Encounter fur traders.

Deep-Shadow and his hunters are guaranteed non-combat.

Did you get drunk before you posted that in this thread? o_O

I mean (a) this is a thread about Vannari and (b) slavery predates the formation of the English regions. It goes back, well, to the dawn of human history. Every culture, every continent, every people, had slavery. Egyptians. Greeks. Romans. Jews. Muslims. Africans. Native Americans. Polynesian Islanders. And in terms of European history, Spain and Portugal started the transatlantic slave trade.

The game is based in a fantasy world. While pointing out similarities and parallels to the real world might create some odd points, let's not lose sight that the world is a figment of the Developer's imagination.

1. This thread became about world-blending, IMO, from the moment OP asked if the Kingdom of Mercia and "America"

2. Do you deny that the Kingdom of Mercia is founded on convict slavery and the maltreatment and exploitation of native 'Mericans?

1. Point to the post in this thread where that happened. (This is the reason I called you drunk btw!)

2. Mercia seems expressly Roman-based, parallels can be found with most, perhaps all or close to it, large and successful civilisation in history. Slavery and the exploitation of the weak was history's default. What marks the European and American contributions to history is they electivly ended all slavery - that's not something you see much of in history.

A few posts deleted. Thread locked.

Discussion is okay. So it's playful banter. But be mindful of the forum rules (and try to avoid 20 page dissertation length posts).

Thanks all and keep enjoying the game.
