Trouble on Exit

Running this on my LG Fortune since i broke my other phone. Version 6.0.1. Ive noticed that when exiting the game throught the menu, it exits to my home screen but the game is still open. I have to hit the button to see all my open apps and swipe it to close it completely. I dont remember this on my other phones. And my cleaning app keeps telling me its running in the background because i keep forgetting the extra step to fully close it... Is this normal?

This is entirely normal for any android app. It's how android is supposed to work and you shouldn't normally be closing apps, the system will close them as needed and they'll open much faster this way.
