Hi David, want to report this.
I am playing a game with a sort of lawful-evil assassin just to test the rogue and play other choices that I usually I do not, just to see what does happen helping Mercia and the Golden Hand and slaughtering varannari as cannon meat.
First of all, so far, there is no real bonus in helping the Golden Hand rather than more gold so in the future I hope they will provide some cool item, being a group of powerful merchants.
That aside, I found difficult to trigger the above mentioned quest with Polonius, since I will hardly reach New Anthur by water and, when I go there, I tend to talk to the gypsies earlier than him. As a result, he claims that I am a friend of those yellow faces or something like that and he refuses to assign me the quest of killing Laertes even if I am in a positive relationship with the Golden Hand already.
I can still complete it by killing Laertes since the appropriate dialogue strings will appear in any case.
