Traits Bug?

I am a level 22 warrior who's strength is at 6 (counting +1 with the belt buff). I am currently wielding a hand weapon (primal icicle), and when I attempt to use my trait points to increase my strength to 7, my DPS is not increasing at all (as it should by at least 1.5 right?). Was this done on purpose? Is anyone else having this issue?

Icicle is light weapon, so DMG increase is .5, rounded down to 0 at odd ranks. 1.5 is extra damage for 2-handed weapons.

Not a problem :) sorry the images are so small, I had to downsize them since your upload limit is 500KB.

Okay I see what you are saying Geb, and that makes complete sense. Thank you for clarifying that information. I did want to point out that the expected increase with light weapons was misleading to me, (because technically isn't a light weapon a hand weapon?). Under STR it says; 1 increase for hand weapons & 0.5 increase for light weapons. I always assumed you would get both.

Maybe I'll clarify it either in the tags or trait description. for now, mistery solved.
