Trait Checks and Quests!!

Quick question; has anyone ever thought of respec your traits in order to pass checks for a quest that gives a very good reward, then after just re spec back? I understand if you've already done a respec this can be very expensive, and im not saying its a viable option to do all the time, but I am thinking of doing it for a particular quest, and I was just wondering if people have done this before?

PS (I dont feel this would be a "game exploit" as respec is a natural part of the game, and theres nothing technically being "exploited").

If you haven't already, you can check if there are any items which will boost your traits to the required levels. it can save you alot of gold.

If i couldnt use items then i would respec, with no worries. The mechanic is there as you say.

1) Resetting traits for certain quests has been done before....repeatedly. It's a common topic to come on this forum, esp for those players switching between a combat build such as an extreme STR 2-H build, and a build that can pass key trait checks.

2) Using items to gain a few trait points here and there is a much better idea. Trait points from equipment count towards quest trait checks, but not for skill trait checks.
