I will be sharing the one time dialogue between player and shrine priest because they can only be asked once unless you created new character:
Brother Janus (lannegar shrine priest)
Adventurer: Who are The Three, exactly?
Brother Janus:They are the protectors of humanity. A hundred years ago, they saved the newborn Kingdom of Ilmara from the Witches of Orogg. Since then, they watch over us and guide those of us in need. They are real beings, living gods that walk among us.
Adventurer: Okay, but what I mean is, how are they? Are they human-like, or tiny little fairies, or giants? Where do they come from? Can I go and talk to them?
Brother Janus: You should show more respect, The Three are divine beings. But I understand your curiosity, for much is unknown about them. I can tell you, however, that Thelume the Wise is humanlike, and talks as we do. The other two, Arbenos and Nivaria, are veiled from us, but still give us, priests, their powers.
Adventurer: I apologize. Tell me about Thelume the Wise, have you ever seen him?
Brother Janus:No, but the Wise lives in his Crystal Palace, near the High Temple. Our Holy Queen often confers with him, and some of the Exarchs also receive his teachings. It is said that he changes a man's life with just one word.
Brother gudazar (rhöneis shrine priest)
Adventurer: The city of Nivarian takes its name from the Goddess Nivaria, right? Is She there now?
Brother gudazar: Correct, She herself built the city with her powers, for the Colonists had lost everything and were without shelter, hungry and despaired. She is the Merciful Mother, and the true founder of the Kingdom, as she was our first Holy Queen. But she is no longer with us, legend says she sleeps under the Lake Nivar.
Adventurer: She was the first Queen of Ilmara? And why did she go to sleep under the lake?
Brother gudazar: A truly sad story. She fell in love with Xoladan the Just, the ruler of the Colonists that founded the Kingdom. After the Witches of Orogg were defeated, they ruled together and made our Kingdom strong and prosperous. But Xoladan grew old and passed away, and that filled Nivaria with a deep sorrow.
Adventurer: Since then, who rules in the Kingdom of Ilmara?
Brother gudazar: The Xoladan dinasty, of course. The king and queen were lost, but they left three children. And today, the great-granddaughter of Xoladan and Nivaria, Queen Simarie, sits on the Azure Throne, with divine blood running through her veins. May she be blessed by The Three.
Sister Arta (kingsbridge shrine priest)
Adventurer: Are The Three equal as gods, or one is mightier than the others?
Sister Arta: The Book of the Moon teaches that The Three were once mortals, but only together they Ascended. There can't be just one of them, without the others. So Arbenos might be the strongest warrior, but only because the other Two exist as well.
Adventurer: Arbenos. That is the Warrior God of The Three, right?
Sister Arta: There is nothing divine in war, but yes, Arbenos is The Warrior. The Champion of Justice and defender of the innocent. He defeated the Sorcerer Queen of Orogg, and took in his chest her evil spell of Doom, which would have destroyed the whole Kingdom.
Adventurer: And what happened then?
Sister Arta: He is a God, so he did not die. But he grew weary, and left to find some rest. It is said, that Arbenos meditates and heals, somewhere in the highest peaks of the Thyr Mountains, until humanity once more needs a Champion.
Brother Gabriel (New garand/temple shrine priest)
Adventurer: I am surprised to see altar here in the street.
Brother Gabriel: My friend, you know that the Varsilian nobles don't trust much the priests of The Three. But the common people want us here, because we heal them and guide them.
Adventurer: You have to be out here while that temple over there is empty. The nobles are causing you trouble?
Brother Gabriel: Sometimes. We have been attacked at night. Some of them see us as a threat. That white temple with gardens is the most ancient imperial building in all the isle of Varannar, dedicated to the old Imperial Religion.
Adventurer: What is the 'Imperial Religion' exactly?
Brother Gabriel: A false religion. In the days of the Empire, it was the official cult, based in worshipping the first eleven emperors as gods. But they were just men. The fact is, only we, the Priests of The Three, have been granted divine powers. But you know, Varsilian nobles only care about keeping traditions.
Adventurer: And they keep that temple almost empty, just for a few nobles? Can't you do anything about it?
Brother Gabriel: It was already very difficult to be permitted to have this Shrine out here, you know. But I am a mere shrine priest, friend. Maybe you can talk such matters with my superior, Sister Hirge, when she returns from her Crusade against the Inori undead.
Adventurer: Thanks. I must be going.
Brother Mirto (great inori shrine priest)
Adventurer: This is the last place where I'd expect to see a shrine.
Brother Mirto: Yet this is the place where we are needed. The Inori is plagued by the restless dead, and old routes to the south have been abandoned. We hope this camp to be a refuge for those trying to cross the burning sands, so things can be as they once were.
Adventurer: How can you survive in a place like this?
Brother Mirto: "It is not easy. We have a well of fresh water, and we have our faith in the Ones Above. However, you are right; we've lost too many men, and likely we will retreat soon. Instead of finding a Consecrated camp, led by our brother Tamrel, we found an undead army awaiting us. Maybe you saw the bones."
Adventurer: This sounds like a large war effort, from your very distant Ilmara in the north... Shouldn't Varsilia take care of this?
Brother Mirto: Ah... But they won't. The King is a good lad, and was ready to send in his knights; but the council, led by Baron Storme, opposed to it. In the end, we had to make a move, and decided to come by ourselves.
Adventurer: The Baron Storme? Isn't he the richest noble in Varsilia? And the most powerful after the King.
Brother Mirto: Exactly. And his brother is the High Priest of the Imperial Religion. He hates our Faith, and would never ally with us, nor give us a chance to strengthen our presence in Varsilia.
Adventurer: Thanks. I must be going.
Brother Iagus (New anthur shrine priest)
Adventurer: I would like to ask about clerics, people born with power granted by the Three.
As cleric:
Brother Iagus: I feel you are one of us, so you know how it begins: on your youth, you feel the Divine Might running through your body, to a point it even hurts. Shortly after you learn how to channel it, like mages do.
As non-cleric:
Brother Iagus: We are the Three's children, marked to become their champions. Already from young age, we learn how to use our powers.
Adventurer: But not all people born with that power, chooses to follow the Church of the Three, right?
Brother Iagus:Indeed Those Who Provide are generous as they are wise. We are given such might, but asked nothing in return.
Adventurer: But... Is there an answer about how and why, one day suddenly some children received this blessing?
Brother Iagus: (He looks at you thoughtfully) No, or rather, The Three have not shared that knowledge yet with us. Maybe a grand mission awaits us... And I will be ready.
Brother De Frere (icemist shrine priest)
Adventurer: I wonder if The Three made any prophecies about the future.
Brother De Frere: Not by themselves. Saint Admus, inspired by The Three, wrote a beautiful book about the centuries to come. It's called Song of the Days of Thunder.
Adventurer: Interesting. So what does it predict?
Brother De Frere: Unfortunately, the text is as beautiful and poetic as it is cryptic and confusing. The experts don't agree on a single interpretation (You notice the priest seems distressed about some memory)
Adventurer: What's the problem? Have you read the book yourself?
Brother De Frere: I have, yes. And nobody will admit this although I think it is evident: Saint Admus warns us about a time in which the unity of The Three is broken. I shudder at thinking of such a dark hour; we need to be alert and courageous to remain united, and make our Church one again.
Brother Palver (Nivarian shrine priest)
Adventurer: Undead seem to be the great enemy of the Church of the Three, and in particular Tolassians. But who was Tol? And what's the deal with those tombs?
Brother Palver: As you probably know, Tol is a dead God, which disappeared from Varannar centuries before the Empire arrived. Tolassians were a civilization which we still largely ignore; all we have now are those underground 'tombs', no castles, towns nor palaces.
Adventurer: Can't those tombs be destroyed? The Church of the Three is quite powerful.
Brother Palver: It can't be done, at least we don't know how yet. There's something in those evil places that makes the undead surge endlessly. And below each tomb there are thousands of corpses. Unfortunately, they seem to be waking up more quickly as of late.
Adventurer: A zombie apocalypse... Those stories are quite popular. Anyways, going back to Tol. How did he die?
Brother Palver: Legend says he was destroyed by The Three, but in truth that is just speculation and The Three themselves never revealed such thing, even if most believe it. The first signs of The Three in this land date back to 400 years ago. That's when historians think the Tolassian civilization fell.
Sister Genta (fögas shrine priest)
Adventurer: Priests have told me about how in the early days of the Kingdom, The Three intervened directly to help the innocent and vanquish evil. Why are the Kingdoms now left exposed to many monsters and dangers, and they don't save us?
Sister Genta: An interesting question... But my answer would be that they indeed intervene, every day. They gave their powers to hundreds of clerics, which heal the sick and battle evil as we speak, from the burning sands of Inori to the frozen peaks of the north.
Adventurer: Still, we humans are struggling for survival in Varannar; there's more monsters and more evil each day.
Sister Genta: Just be strong in your faith, and open your mind to the Virtues of The Three: Wisdom, Courage and Compassion. That is their greatest gift, truly, and the one that will save humanity one day.
Brother Janus (lannegar shrine priest)
