The Lost Coven : Quest Item Lost Help Me PLS

So I got the Item I needed in order to finish the quest but then I lost it cuz I probably misplace it when I had no more space in my bag so how do i I get it back? I went back to the place I got it but it wasn't there anymore. Or am I doing this quest wrong?

the item in particular (journal) can only be dropped in your vault or in a persistent chest, never on the ground.

Being flagged as quest item, it can be dropped only on the vault, or on your house/tower yellow chests.

there is the possibility you opened the chest (so it spawned) but then you left it there without looting it. In that case, I am afraid it is lost.

So there is no mechanism for restoring quest items? Does that mean: if i open a chest with a shard, do not loot, and leave the dungeon, it is impossible to complete the game?

Have you checked all the storage containers you have (tower chest/house storage)?

Also, does the journal still say you need to find the item, or that you should return to Tangir. If it is the latter, then you at least know you picked it up at some point. If not, are you checking the desk or the chest in the spoils room?

Just trying to eliminate possibilities.

I also have the same problem with this quest. I remember grabbing the book, but when I went to turn it in I no longer had it. I've double checked the table of origin, my vaults and persistent chest.

Is there any way to reset this quest?

Same problem! The journal really should reapear if the quest is unfinished. It's annoying to have an unsolved quest.
