I have slept in the inn multiple times a day every day. It is not resetting the Lawyer for me. I've been to this dungeon many times, on different days and cleared the entire room, went to the secret room in the NW corner (skeleton laying on ground and stairs going down) and cleared the demons in that room as well. There was a couple times I used up my HP pots and had to go back to town and rest in the middle of this quest, still no Lawyer reset. I read the white book in the abbots room several times. I answered all St Admus questions and he tells me I need to investigate further. The quest is bugged for me. There is literally nothing I can do to further this quest. I know you think I missed something but I've done everything you instructed me to do. I have had other quests fail, like an escort quest that you have to keep the npc alive and guide them back, but I just reload from a saved spot and start over till I get it right. This quest has not failed as it's still in my journal. I really don't think I killed the lawyer because I always try to do the nice thing if I have that option (I'm female and it comes natural lol) or choose the respectful option when talking to NPC's for quests and I don't demand a reward because getting a higher reputation is more important to me than getting extra XP or gold. I already started over. Thanks for your help and your quick responses.

If you started over on a new slot can you give us an EK.BAK and let us have a shot at your game?

..... went to the secret room in the NW corner (skeleton laying on ground and stairs going down) and cleared the demons in that room as well.
Room? It's a decent sized dungeon in it's own right? For clarity, are you running across the fire floor? You have to run across the fire floor to get to the Lawyer's office, as well as find the Greater Demon (the very, large, nasty one in the SW corner).

For clarity, we take all bug reports at face value. We can play the odds sometimes with common solutions to common problems, but every once in awhile an odd bug does pop up. Best guess at this point is something is keeping the NPC demon from popping back in his little study area of the Hellish Cave.

So if you are crossing the fire floor and are truly not getting the lawyer demon to spawn, lets move on to the next steps.

1) Version of the game?
2) Device used to play?
3) Operating System?
4) Anything unique about your version of the game?
5) Have you played the game before, and if so, did you have this same issue on the previous play through?
6) And only asking to cover bases, has your game been modded, altered or acquired through an other-than-legitimate source?

Thank you VDX_360, you just solved my problem! When I did this room it was weeks ago and I either forgot there was a secret room in the back or I never even tried to walk across fire floor because it looks like a dead end. When I first attempted this quest the Abbot killed me very fast so I just continued with my other quests and came back weeks later to try again. I was basically just running around the left side of the dungeon trying to find the Lawyer. I was just about to have my husband to send stonewolf a backup of my game when I saw you mention fire floor and I shouted OMG That's it! Sorry everyone and once again thank you all for your help and your quick responses!

You're welcome! I'm glad we were able to help. :)

There are a few places in the game where things / pathways are behind fire floors. A few places, it's pretty obvious somethings on the other side. Sometimes, they're a little more tricky.
