Hello,
I was trying to complete the Collectionist quest and I seem to be missing one of the idols. I went to all 3 locations and picked them up but when I went to turn them in there was only 2. I went back to all 3 spots multiple times and no dice. The only thing I can think of is that I did the two outside idols first and then I went to Azagul, saved outside and went in, I then found the 3rd idol and after getting it died on my way out (darn traps). I had saved right outside the tomb so I just went right back in. The only thing I can think of is that it did not reset the idol. I know I had all 3 before dying because I had to drop things to pick up the idol.

The idol inside the tomb was my final one so when I died it and got taken to my save it should have reset the idol, correct? This is the only possible thing I can think of. You can't sell them so I know I didn't sell one by accident.

Please help. I am loving your game.

You're correct, the idol should respawn if you loaded the game outside the tomb.Try looking again in the tomb, if you still can't find it then I suggest loading the game from the Auto Save option. It might help if you haven't went back to town and slept yet.

I spent about an hour last night and another one this morning doing that. I went in multiple times, as well as went and checked all the other idol spots too. Nothing.

Best case scenario is you already turned in one of the idols to the NPC in nivaria and just forgot.Maybe it is a glitch, if you really want to complete this quest then just restore the exported save game from the backup file.Again try turning in the idols you have first.

Is it possible that you vaulted one of them and don't remember?

These items are simple one-time drop from fixed containers, much like Tolassian tomes, and the game engine by limitation doesn't keep those chests' contents after opening them once. It's something I regret designing that way, but not possible to change when half a million people already play the game and have live data.

This quest in particular seems to be causing lots of trouble, so I might add the idol as a rare drop in some dungeon as a fallback option (and make it sellable)

Thank you for your reply. I didn't vault them because I did it all in one go. Its cool, not a biggie (unless it prevents me from doing stuff later on.) I am loving the game regardless, although I had to start a new one that wasn't on hard.

Keep up the good work.

I'll think of a solution for this on next update. It's just working as regular fixed loot chests though, nothing new.
