I have been playing your game now almost every night for 4+ hours when I come home from work.. and I have to say its very addicting and youve done a kick ass job with it so far

Regarding the DPS.. Between the normal set skills + the weapons that are Cleric only - doesnt make a very viable character to play..

Being a avid gamer.. I have mastered the arts of kiting / swarm kiting mobs and taking the time and effort needed to take down what would normally take a group of people to do by myself..

I would like to see some AoE spells implemented to the game..

You pretty much gave the cleric an upper hand on undead

Why not give Rogues an upper hand on goblins? Warriors on Orc's / Trolls?

Just my thoughts ^.^

I've read this a few times and I'm not sure what you're trying to say.. clerics are too strong or not strong enough? Still my fav class to play, I have my opinions but I'm curious to know yours

I think he's suggesting the cleric is weak.

I tend to disagree, but my style of play is not average.

Clerics do have an AoE spell, are you suggesting PBAoE?

Maybe the wizard will have more AoE, we'll see.

Rogue and Warrior do well against any enemy because they have access to higher dps weapons than clerics at this time.

The bonus to undead is a standard cleric trait which transgresses many platforms and had made it's way to this one.

Currently, I think the classes are pretty balanced for PvE.

@GauzeB - The cleric is probably my favorite class to play too - I have all 3 past level 8 at this point and for whatever reason I keep going back to the cleric :)

Using the active skill Sacred Fire (rank 3) with a CD of 6 seconds - doing 30dmg +12 to undead in a bottle necked area / hallway is beyond OP! And has made leveling the Cleric easier then the other classes so far.. Problem that I am having apparently is that 6-0 second gap to continue dps..

There are times lets say you walk into a bandit camp and theres 5 Bandits.. You use Sacred Fire and it only hits 2 of them.. what to do other then run around and wait for the 6 seconds to reuse? Is kinda what im getting at.. IF there is armor that is based around the Cleric that gives +Mana.. which in turn will allow the user to be more of a "battle cleric" - then wtf with the ability for melee dps?

@BT - Yeah I am referring to PBAoE.. Even if it were to be a small radius. As it is - you are having to melee the mob as the cleric - to make sure that you are correctly pointed in the direction that you are wanting to use your Sacred Fire (in open areas unless you feel you have your aim down - mines almost on point.. but..) so your left to take that hit and lets say you dont entirely blow them away at your earlier levels or ranks of the spell - you still have that 6 seconds that you may find yourself toe to toe with a mob..

I have to agree - I believe the classes are pretty balanced for PvE in this game! I may start a few "new games" and try out different builds with the cleric.. just to see what thats all about and go from there :)

Every class has its own builds and unique playstyles, but i also would say that it is well balanced so far. I you want to have a bit easier and faster handling in combat, then a rogue or warrior is the way to go. But in the end every class has its skills with cooldowns wich is good, because thanks to the cooldown you have to play somewhat tactical, otherwise it only would be mindless hack n slash.

Cleric v Fire Dragon is the one place where Clerics suffer a clear disadvantage. With all of their damage skills tied to the 'fire' element, there is little strategy involved in the fight and it comes down to determination and potion stack.

Was disappointed this thread was not a joke... So a Cleric, Mage, and Minotaur walk into a bar...

I believe the same little strategy goes for a pure 2-H-Warrior, compared to other classes/builds. You need to have a higher Lvl aka specific amount of hp/dps/armour in order to have a chance. A Warrior SnS-Build can do the Dragon pretty earlier.
But i think i know what you mean, you just want that cleric to be a bit more dangerous. ;)

Yeah - like out side paying for the application for the newer content - but it unlocked the cleric and it just felt like something is missing..

I have played a Cleric / Priest since the dawn of my gaming career being almost 20 years now.. And there are some things I get and others I kinda go.. huh?

Either way - Totally enjoy the cleric in this game and I know there may not be changes done to the class.. Again, I agree that the way it was done is balanced well as far as the CLASS goes.. but I am sure there will be tweaks along the way depending on how far david chooses to take this adventure of his :)

Hey Lads,

Just wanted to throw in a few cents from my side.

I'm playing Cleric since a few weeks and I must say I love it.

In my mind I would summarise it in following points:

- good healing skills (125HP restore for yourself n companion on skill lvl 3)
- very nice def (assuming you are wearing shield, eg. Hero Shield or Red Leather Shield)
- mean machine if you max advanced skills

So in general it's a good material for tanker if you go with Warrior guild.

Possible builds i tried:
- 1H battle critical (my favourite, good def + up to 18% crit chance, fast attack, but no good element weapons available as yet)
- 1H battle element (decent dmg with elemental, eg. Crushing Ember or Ghostbane and good def)
- 2H battle element (low def and massive dmg)

Unfortunately, I haven't got a chance to check possible skills in Cleric guild as yet, but maybe in next weeks I will start again and do so.

If you have any questions please let me know.
