OK guys, did a run for both with my lvl 23 toon and these are the stats for both Maze of Lamth and Mercian Royal Crypts which in my opinion are the 2 best dungeons for mid lvl players from lvl15 to lvl20.
At lvl23 I alzo am including XP for the NPCs. I'm uncertain if that value decreases depending on character lvl. If so, please reply with stats.
I also would like to note that my intelligence is 5 which gives me a 14% XP gained but I ran both dungeons without scrolls. With that said, let's start off with:

MAZE OF LAMTH
Location- North Jabal hills, Eastern Mercia, NW on map just North of Jabal village
Number of NPCs- 31
Number of Traps- 11-14
Number of chests- 7
Run time- 10-15min real time

NPCs:
18 Lvl 9 Minotaurs- XP +55 (this number includes the 3 Minotaurs that are outside the maze)
13 lvl12 Minotaur Lords- XP +97
11 lvl9-12 Traps- XP 37-46

Loot per run- 2700-3200 silver
XP per run- 2400-2700

Notes
This dungeon is perfect for lvl14 to lvl19 players due to its close proximity to Jabal village and the fact that the NPCs are a fixed number with no casters or ranged units. You need only armor and your best weapon for them. When completed, rest at Jabal inn for 12hrs then re-enter. Rinse and repeat. Loot drops are mid lvl, with the best ones being blue steel great ax, small emeralds, and armor drops.

Mercian Royal Crypts
Location- Iron valley, central Mercia, NE on map
Number of NPCs- 73 (not including crypt bosses or Regen wraiths)
Number of Traps- 26
Number of chests- 16
Run time- 12-20 minuts real time

NPCs (NOTE- The NPCs in this dungeon are subject to change, however the amount is fixed)
Skeletons- XP 45
Skeletal archers- XP 45
Skeletal evokers (casters, death)- XP 55
Wraiths- XP 55
Vengeful Wraiths- XP 165

Loot per run- 3800-4500
XP per run- 5800-6400

NOTES
This is a dungeon geared for lvl 17-21 players, and was my choice to constantly run while waiting for the next patch. And for good reason. The loot and XP gained from here is incredibly good, at times forcing me to recall out to empty my full backpack halfway through the run, as well as finding pieces of armor or weapons that are keepers. The amount of traps in the dungeon (26) are easy sources of XP (which, by themselves at 45 per, give you over 1k xp) and the weaker wraith regens add a slight boost to XP gained (5xp each). I didn't factor in the environment outside of the graveyard, just the NPCs that are around the entrance (6), but those outlaws that linger around the graveyard give some decent drops. I suggest clearing them out before heading into the dungeon because your going to need all the space in you're backpack you can spare....
For this dungeon I highly recommend using Hirge as you're companion. As a cleric her natural resistance to death plus her healing ability comes in very handy. Just make sure you keep the agro on you.

Well, those are my two recommendations for those of you who find themselves stuck at a particular level or just want to farm gold. My next post will be on Blue Rock castle, so stay tuned...

My two favorites would be Bluerock castle and Bloodpaw cave. But the Mercial Crypt is an excellent choice too, I just not that sure about the maze and it's cheap loot...

Nice job by the way!

Thanks for posting this. I've been doing the maze over and over for a while now. I just started doing the Royal crypt earlier this week. I'm 100K away from Lvl 21. Should I stay in the crypt or try somewhere else? Cursed Abby maybe?

Tordak Q, thank you for useful info! Are there any specific recommendations for player's equipment (apart from the obvious death resistance) for grinding Mercian Royal Crypt at low levels (under 15)? Are there any dangers like toxic or cold?

The only resistance you need for MRC is death. The skeletal evokers can do a number on you while you're being rushed by skeletons and vengeful wraiths. My death resist is at 96 and they still hit me for 9-20 per cast, so heads up. If I was you, I'd tell my companion to wait in the hall while I agro as few NPCs per room as possible. Some rooms can contain x2 veng-wraiths (be careful of these guys. They hit hard and are tuff Hombre's. Taking on one is hard enough at you're lvl so be cautious), while others contain 4-5 NPCs just waiting to do you ugly. It will get easier by the time you're lvl 17-20, but I guarantee that you'll find some useful gear to help in this dungeon.

I also appreciate you taking the time to acknowledge the help I'm trying to give to new/intermediate players, so a big thank you right back atcha!
Happy hunting, and let me know how you do.

MRC is a great place to boost XP quickly because it's on the same board as Freetown. At you're lvl you could change it up by going south of Freetown to blue Rock castle, though it's a much tuffer grind both getting to it as well as inside. I'll be posting my findings on BRC later today.

Mercian Royal Crept and Blue Rock Castle are some of the best overall XP sources, but for players that are mid-teens or struggling, other dungeons might prove more useful for rapid spamming for XP.

For XP farming, I'd suggest players below level 15 (or who are struggling) find a dungeon they can clear easily or run Town Hall Quests in easier regions. Helps break things up and gives XP for each Town Hall Quest as well as Reputation.

There's no magic solution to XP farming. Just have to keep at it.

The Abby is my new favorite XP run. I ran it twice and went from 917K to 944K . I only had 17% XP bonus. Switching between executions axe and falling stars. Lots of corrupt saber cats, lots of fallen heros.

Look up "Soul Drinker" 2-h battle axe with 4-19 DMG and +6 Death. It has Beast Slayer 1 on it and is by far one of the best weapons in the game. My backup is permafrost great axe for wraiths. That has a 5℅ chance to Paralyze opponents too.
