So...I'd like to complain that new stuff is too good?

Yup that's right I am actually complaining about awesome stuff. Specifically icicle and to a lesser extent stiletto which are really easy to get and super OP. (not fully completed new content so maybe other items also) Either nerf those or power up existing weapons imo. Or third option actually make them difficult to acquire.

It just seems silly to pick up best weapon early in the game from weak opposition and then spend the rest of the game fighting massive beasts for vendor trash. Yup I just called magma blades vendor trash cause in comparison they are.

I would also like to formally apologize to everyone who may be about to lose awesome gear if David actually takes my suggestion.

Most weapons in the game are weak, I think it's about time we get an upgrade. I don't agree with nerfing a weapon because eventually were gonna need STRONGER weapons for STRONGER monsters in the future update. I do agree with you that the weapon is easy to get, so that can be fixed easy. But if it still bothers you that "Icicle" is OP then I suggest using a weaker weapon such as the Sonnet or Blue Steel Poisonus Dagger so that your "gameplay" will be more fair and enjoyable :)

I will enhance several of the existing weapons soon. Already improved Troll Cleaver, others will come too. In many cases, they'll get new properties.

Keep in mind most players play the game as they discover it, they won't necessarily beehive towards the best items, then routine through each quest.

Please make Sonnet stronger as well. It is not easy to get and it should be on the same level as Icicle. Maybe buff the Dragon weapons as well.

I heard there's going to be a Dragon Helm drop from the Dragons, is this true?

I disagree completely. I'm level 10 and have been very frustrated by the lack of weapon improvements. Was still using the "Sword of Shock" FOREVER prior to getting the Icicle. It did cause my DPS to jump from 15.1 -> 22.2 which seems a bit ridiculous. It would have been nice if there was more weapon progression.

I'm all for keeping the game challenging but it starts to grind after a while when you're not seeing character improvements. I'm only playing on normal and I'm constantly broke and dying... I can't imagine hard and much less hardcore (used to be obsessed with hardcore in Diablo 2 but I can't imagine it being very much fun in the current state of this game).

Maybe a level cap could be add to prevent meta-gamers from rushing weapons (of course if you're meta gaming who really cares). IMO the game would be much more replayable if there was some randomness in drops and maybe even quest rewards. Some play-throughs you might get stacked, others your might get screwed. That's part of what always made D2 so addicting.

But think about the new players that hasnt have enough clue what this game is about, theyll most likely go straight to the west side rather the east side of New Antur. Remember being a member in this forum gives you information ahead from the rest of the casuals giving you an edge more on where to get the best weapon vs being a fresh newbie that has no clue that this forum even exist
