Need more than that please. What does your journal say about the quest?

Make sure you are trying to kill Rodo at night (after 11pm) as he and his band will not appear until then.

The journal has the original quest. I tried to kill him, but got killed. When I went back he was gone and there was rubble about. I thought that if that happened Kardagis would still considered the issue resolved and give me the offer to join the guild.

If it still says "Kardigas has asked me to stop..." then you need to try and locate the bandits at night again. The game hasn't triggered that you've even met Rodo before.

If it says something else, let me know.

Side note, are you a member of any other guild? One guild per play.
