I need to find three small diamonds to complete The Master's Laboratory Quest and get the Bag of Holding. Getting the white wolf pelts and pearls was easy, but what is the best area/creature for getting small diamonds? I thought I could get the diamonds as I was collecting pearls, since the Wiki states that the chests on A Small Islet occasionally contain diamonds, but I have cleared that island multiple times, and no diamonds. The Wiki also suggest Castle Bluerock for diamonds, but again, I don't want to go through Castle Bluerock multiple times, if there is a better location.

The Wiki did not steer you wrong. It lists all the places that drop small diamonds. If you don't like Bluerock Castle, you can try Crimson Hills. The large chests and Hill Giants drop small diamonds. Of course, you have to fight Hill Giants.
The other places the Wiki lists can work too, Tombs, frozen areas etc. Might take a little work.
