You never thought of putting the exiled kingdoms on google play pass because it is by subscription and those who don't buy the game but have the pass can play the game and you would receive a part of the money even though I don't know how it works but I for example am subscriber to the pass and I play dead cells for it, since I have dead cells on the pc, however, it is the same as my case with your game, I have it on steam, but I can't play it on my cell phone, unfortunately, which is very bad, so if it was put in the pass I would give it to those who have it on the pc and have the mobile pass will be able to play on both consoles that's all I had to say other than that the game is great and know that I love you my steam user is Rimura_Ks If you want to check if I have the game same

Here's a thought.. imagine you cancel your Play Pass for one month and suddenly you can afford the game for a one-off fee and play it without any subscription fees whatsoever!

Let's break it down further; after the first month you just play EK, not only do you own the game outright but for each subsequent month you continue to play it, it's like David not only acquiesced to your original request but also said "Hey, I want you to play my game so much, if you only play my game, I'll pay your monthly fees for you to be able to do so, for as long as you want or until you want to play something else."!
So, every month you play EK, you get it again but for free!

What's that I hear you say? "..but I really do love David and still want to pay every month!"?
Well, when you buy the full version, there's a donate link so that every month when you would have had to pay Google your $5, you can send it directly to David instead!!
Imagine how happy he'll be. He'll almost be able to afford a coffee every 4 or 5 weeks or so, I'm sure.

Google Pass would likely bring in new players, perhaps some "tips", and probably some interest in his next game.

I think David made a terrible mistake by not putting a few cosmetic/fun DLCs in the game. Not essential stuff, no true paywalls, but a few things we could spend a bit more money on just as our way of saying thanks. But David doesn't want to do that model. So I don't think it would be financial considerations on his side that he rejects Pass. I think it's that Google simply hasn't invited it.

Pass is not be worth it just to play one game over and over, but if you burn through games at a high rate of knots - install, play, uninstall - then Pass is definitely worth it.

I won't argue against Play Pass being suited to many but I was trying to illustrate that EK is a deep game with a lot of content for the sake of the one-off and let's face it, low enough price.
I'm only half joking in my post really but either way, from what I can gather, the point is fairly moot anyway since it seems to be only available to US developers anyway - Google Play Pass | Google Play Console
  • Where is Play Pass available?

Play Pass is initially only available in the US. We plan to add more markets over time

It was launched in the US in 2019, the following year they added much of Europe, as of 2022 they're in almost 100 countries.

For developers too? I couldn't find that clarified but I've linked the dev console rather than the end user portal, for reference.

There's a link there to be considered for an invitation if David were to be interested but he would perhaps be better served by packaging the next game to suit the Play Pass model better than having to support an influx of the type of casual players you describe to a title he'd prefer not to be working on until the next is done.

I have no horse in this race other than to defend the concept of how the OP can get the game on his phone much more easily than David having to devote time and resources to work out if it's even feasible, never mind implementing it too.

Maybe get a developer's opinion on the payment model and what level of engagement is needed for it to be feasible for anything like this game type or genre but as a 5yr veteran of this game, despite my forum join date, I still consider the one-off cost well spent and am glad not to be tied to any subscription to play this, KotOR, Limbo, TWoM or any other Pass games I already own outright on multiple platforms and still spent a fraction of what a Pass would have cost me.

I'll leave you with it. Enjoy your day.

I have it on steam, but I can't play it on my cell phone
Just as an afterthought, have you tried this?
