I've completed this quest several times, this time I somehow ended up with two Rodney's, one of which had very low health. I've now both completed and failed that quest on the journal log.

Are you sure it was two Rodney's, and not Rodney and a mercenary for hire?

I'm sure, like I said I both completed and failed the quest. I took a screenshot before one died.

Just out of curiosity, did you get both at the same time? Or did one spawn while you had the other?

I'm not sure, I didn't notice it until I was running across the field in lannegar.
