Curious to know which side or sides you have gone with...loreseekers, golden hand or possibly a mix of both?
And what are the pros and cons?
Thanks!

One optimal way of playing is to give the Rhayader Medallion from Spicing Things Up to the Golden Hand. The Medallion can be obtained obscenely early if you use potions of Speed to evade and a Scroll of Recall to escape. That gives you early access to the Grey Library including the Explorer Gauntlets, Ring of the Trader, and Potion of Mana. After that give the books to the Loreseekers. That gives you access to their library and quests and traders.

So I can do 3 vs 11 easily, I sometimes give my first book (from the Mausoleum) to the Grey Library (and the second one), then I can do Spicing Things Up after that and get a signature.

You need 3 petitions, excluding Lady Rhayader:

  • Sir Andrew Mason
  • Latimer (Truth option)
  • Kardagis (Forgery)
  • Giles (10 Fire Salts - Travelling Alchemist helps)
I can escape the Angry Wraith far earlier than I can raid the Mausoleum so I do it that way round.

True, I do both, though never done the Angry Wraith super early. Never got Giles's signature.

I'm no master player, I used Potion of Speed, Evasion helps, as does Recall.

But its one-touch death and you can't use Invisibility.

Finally got Gilmour's signature. Farming Fire Salts in Gorx's Lair isn't too bad.

Because of Gilmore if I ever see a wandering alchemist I always stock up on Fire Salts, saves the grind but as you say it's not a hard one.
