Saved game bug iOS

After defeating bandits in lair and looting boxes there, used quick save. Upon return to game all of the bandits in that room have respawned ( and traps reset ) and because there are so many they immediately kill me. Anyway to fix this ?

Ouch! Loading form a quick save in mid-dungeon can have the dungeon re-set resulting in the issue you see. Can also happen outside the dungeon. Not all level of difficulties allow quick saves in a dungeon.

Quick fix is to load from a previous save point (inn etc). I *think* there's a possible solution to the quick save in a dungeon issue as well as some other odd save issues but as those corrections may involve more than a simple code issue, it could be awhile for a true fix.

Thanks I'll try to recover from a previous save. A bit disappointed that I paid for the app and then encountered this issue .

Just to be clear: This is not a bug, but the way the game engine handles enemy respawns. Dungeons, much like any other area, are reset after a certain amount of time (typically 12 in-game hours). So if you spend too much time raiding a dungeon, the reset is triggered at some point, but will only take effect after a reload.

In your case, I assume that you quicksaved after spending more then 12 hours inside the dungeon, so upon reloading all the enemies and traps respawned.

My advice: Keep an eye on the clock and break your dungeon run into several smaller ones if it takes too long. I know it's tempting in casual mode to try to clear the dungeon in one go, as you always can reload after dying, but this might bring you into trouble as seen here.

Maybe a suggestion to David: Would it be possible to prompt a warning if someone quicksaves in an area after the respawn time is reached? So players would have the choice of not saving at this point and heading for safety instead?

Thank you for the explanation, that is exactly what occurred in my situation . As far as having a "warning clock" I think that seems "out of character" for the game. I think maybe an explanation to new users as they use the quick save feature would be sufficient.

I don't think this is caused by the elapsed time, it's a glitch I'm looking into. Sorry for the inconvenience.
