I know there is a necklace of charm aswell but ive seen the ring before. Can anyone confirm where I can the ring?

I think what's his name drops it if he dies hunting the manticore.. So if you want icicle than you can't get it... But I can't confirm that.

You're probably right. I failed the world a stage quest because i let the dude get killed, and i think i think i got the ring from his corpse.

Oh yea I remember now. I guess it be better to let him die next time because the Icicle you get from the quest is nerfed and can get the Primodial Icicle as a drop.
It's a shame theres no other way to get the ring doe
