Request: running faster

hi all. Straight and simple: I would like my characters to run faster. That would really help to reduce the commuting time and tedium of moving from one part of the map to another, problem that will be augmented since the next patch.

Maybe an option to increase game speed would be appreciated while being forced to run through already known game areas with monsters that are not a challenge anymore.

I was thinking about maybe having strength, endurance and agility contribute to small but permanent passive increases in speed, so that you have to earn it and can see more results as you advance (I.e 2 point of endurance = 1 increment increase in speed). What do others think?

there are boats and teleport rooms already. This allows fast travel at a reasonable price. Why should David work on a vast map with countries and habitats then?

You have run potions...... so fast run is not nessecary or game gets to easy if you can outrun the rest of the game......

Faster running speed plays a role in combat as well, especially against higher level enemies. Having a passive trait that one can earn is just like other trait options in the game.

I would even propose a whole game accelerator, where the global speed is 2 or 3 times faster and that you can use only to quickly move through safe areas, or you'll get quickly killed by monsters, that would move faster too.

Even the ability to turn it into a feat would be nice, but then I would appreciate to have more skill points to invest, else the idea to have plenty of feats and not enough skill points will make this game like D&D 3rd edition and 3.5 where you can't really exploit all the options that you have.

Teleports and ships are nice too but they don't cover the whole map and they are still tedious to reach sometimes, especially when you are high level and you have to open your way among puny wolves, impenetrable mazes made by trees (eg. in lannegar) or boring fixed patters as in Jabal (the corridor filled with spiders).

It is a matter of shades among the thrill of exploring a new area once and repeating the process over and over and over, maybe for town hall quests or slaying archenemies.
