Q: Can the Difficulty Level be increased? (A: No.)

I just found the way to down grade but not to Set a higher difficulty level.
Is IT possible an when jeppyes, where?

Nope, you can only slide down the scale. If you want to start a higher difficulty you'll need to restart the game.

It's to stop people rollercoastering their difficulty.

But who cares if somebody change his difficulty level. Isn't It something the Player should decide on his own.
Some situation to hard and some to easy. It is something like Personal feeling and a question of what is fun for the Player.
Nevertheless there is no function for that.

If you want to try a higher difficulty, I encourage you to start a new game.

Personally I dislike games that allow for on-the-fly difficulty customisation, we're different like that. The relevant fact is neither of us made this game. The designer of this game made his choices, when we make games we can make ours.
