When you zone into a new area and immediately have to fight and get pushed back through the zone you just left from is really annoying.

Actually, I remember it happening once just outside the sewers in New Garand, there was a group of bandits, got pushed back into the sewers and when I zoned back out, they were gone.

Have always wondered what that was all about.

The worst I've seen in Gurgurth Lair with the troll right inside with knockback ability. It was made worse when I was trying for Outstanding Apprentice when I was a low level. Sprint thru the fens so when I reach the lair I had 3 full recovery. Then I get pushed out of the lair and get wailed on by the horde.

Yeah,

The troll dungeon is notorious for it.

Outside the new undead dungeon too.

Outside the undead dungeon by new garand.

I wonder if it's fixable or if spawns just need to be far enough away from zoning areas to alleviate it.

Well, it is among one of the most irritating things, still existing.
Faced this last night after a simple area switch, dungeons are the worst case. Maze is also a notorious place in this regard, there is usually a Minotaurs guarding outside if u spend a little more inside.

Good that it will be provided eventually...
A possible implementation: In the default case, there could be a threshold (lets say 10 sec) and it ask for the switch confirmation if the time spent in the new dungeon is less than it.

Could the area change confirm only be on dungeons?
I feel like this is where most of the problems are at and having to confirm with every little area change could be exhausting.

What I'll do is show an "activable" on top right when there's an area change available, once you tap it, you'll zone. but it willr equire me to check and manually change many maps, as currently area changes block passage and with that change they can be crossed, so I am postponing the change for a later time.

what about keeping it similar/closer to the current behaviour when trying to enter a under-development zone.
Whenever the player tries to change zone there will be a confirmation dialogue for this change.

PS: this confirmation dialogue could be turn ON/OFF from the settings.
