So, even if I alright bought this as an app in the play store, I have to buy it again from Steam if I want to play it on the computer?? That's ridiculous.

That's absolutely normal!
If you buy GTA for Playstation, you have to buy it again for Xbox and also for PC! Why should it be here different?
Play store has nothing to do with steam, also ios, each platform needs a new purchase, that's how it works with every game!

That's why I'm locking this thread.
But, there's obviously one thing that begs explanation:
EK isn't selled by David directly, he uses infrastructure by different companies. Like Google (Android), Apple (iOS) and Valve (PC). Each of these companies has its own set of rules, policies, prices and don't communicate and exchange information between each other.
In practice, if you want to use any product sold by each of this company, not just EK, you need to purchase it separately.
That is how this works.
I guess if you someday made your own company, you would do the same thing for products you would sell.
