ugh here I am complaining again. I really do enjoy the game I promise lol.

I realize that part of the appeal may be completely open do what you want open world. however I think a semi linear quest system would be nice. it just seems like I skipped over some quests that would've given me rewards that would've been very helpful for some of the harder quests because I didn't go to every town and get every quest before I started doing them. such as a little fetch quest where the xp wouldve helped at level 3 but is hardly worth the time at level 20. again it's a small criticism but that's what constructive criticism is for right? I don't have any suggestions at this point for how to implement it but there's some smart people on here I bet they have some ideas.

While I'm very new to the game, just a couple days now and only level 5, i found a thread here that lists a suggested quest order. I don't know how to link it but it was in the general secting of this forum. You should be able to find it rather easy.

Edit to add: its on page 2. A third of the way down or so and thread titled "deathshadows recommended quest order"

This is that thread: http://www.exiledkingdoms.com/forum/vie ... hp?t=10804

But it has many wrong choices in my opinion. And others, as you can see if you read that thread.

The best way to have "semi guided tour" is that you stick to maps you can live and fight another day. If some map gets too hard, it is not for your current level. And this means, quests you get there are also meant for higher levels.

It is pretty simple.

For those who want to know before how some map is hard, there's wiki and Challenge Map: http://www.exiledkingdoms.com/wiki/inde ... llenge_Map with color coded information. Very useful for all, and can be used as a guide for where to go and when.

Ya its definately not perfect, and even i with my very limited experience saw some questionable judgements in the list, but its not a bad starting point. I have been using it as a guide line, looking at it more in blocks of 5 quests instead of a perfect step by step guide.

That map you linked has also been a very valuable resource.

After trying number 9 on that list ' the dead god' i have to change my opinion to that guy is on crack. Several quests much farther down the list are much much easier.

I've been debating about placing a disclaimer on that particular list... the poster of that thread has a few posts that appear to be based on arbitrary Wiki information rather than experience playing the game (including impossible equipment sets).
I'll go and edit in a disclaimer with a link to the Challenge map. Might save a lot of headaches . ..
