Problem with companion levelling and traps

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but Adaon just levelled from 3rd to 4th level and got only 1 trait point and no skill points.
Also when I have Adaon in my party he seems to detect traps but I'm disarming them (my skill is used for that). Makes him a little bit useless in this regard.

This happened to me too when Griselda leveled up from 7 to 8, except she failed to receive any skill or trait points. There was a lot going on if I recall, we were in the middle of an orc slaughter and the level up occurred during a lot of carnage, so perhaps the point increase didn't register amidst the chaos. Hasn't done that since though.

I tried reloading from a previous save and level him to 4th level again but the result is the same: 1 trait point and 0 skill points.
@David, is this intended or a bug?

Tell me what skills he has at level 4, and in his skills window, how many spent points are displayed please. Also confirm me you are on a recent version

Hi David, he is at 4 spent skill points - stab lv2, gossip lv1. I'm attaching screenshots.
I saved before his lev4 and after todays update tried to level him again but the result is the same.

Companions have 1 SP per level, so he is alright. The problem is I pre-assigned 4 skill points for him, even if he's level 3, that's why he doesn't gain any points on level 4. I will make sure he starts with the right number of points so this doesn't cause confusion.

I noticed when I first acquired Adaon he started with -1 skill point. So when he leveled to 4 that brought it to 0. Then when he hit 5 he got 1.
