Pre-Determined Loot

Upon exploring the Wyvern Mountains, I found a primeval bear. I recall that these bears drop a good Cleric Weapon. I decided to save right before attacking it, so I can kill him until the weapon drops. I was wondering if this is the right way to go about finding the weapon and if the items it drops are predetermined or generated after you kill it.

TLDR: Do enemies drop different items if I save and reload after not getting what drop I wanted?

Re-loading to try for a different loot is considered a game exploit. Forum Rules prohibit discussing game exploits. Locking thread.

A previous update locked in loot tables to prevent re-loading to re-roll loot tables.
