Potion effect wears OFF instantly

I am in deep cauldron and my potions of resist fire keeps wears off almost in a instant
I have to use 2-3 to get one that works correctly for 1 min
other potions work fine
There's a limit of damage blocked?

If you change area's the potion will wear off, did you change area's ? (I.e. was there a loading message ?)
