[Possible Spoilers] Orbs from A Key to the Past

I got the fire orb to move the quest along. However, I know some new content has been added along with new quests and gear, etc. I'm playing a mage, and I remember Trix telling me that the Orbs are useful for enchanting items and it's smart to get them all, etc.

Is the third orb available yet, and do any of them provide any benefit other than progressing the quest? I'd love some better mage gear for my squishy mage. Or was that "they're useful for enchanting gear" a placeholder for future content like crafting?

Third orb is not available yet. So as of the current update, both orbs you get must be used to unlock doors inside the tower. A future update may add the third orb. That orb might be allowed to be turned into a weapon enhancement, or used on a new door.... rather open at this point.

Also, keep in mind the in-game dialogue about the orbs explains why the wizard would have them in the first place. Wizard has crazy dangerous orbs in his basement because they let him do magic... etc.
