Not gaining XP after quest?

I just completed "The Poisoned River" quest and when I return to New Auther and speak with Captain Demetrius; the game goes through the process of the quest completion, I get my choice of rewards and even the action list at the top says I've gained reputation and experience. All works well, EXCEPT; I don't actually receive any xp for completing the quest. My Characters amount of xp remains the same.

Anyone know what's up?

I'm pretty sure the exp hits when you throw the switch.

Yes in some cases you already get the exp while doing the quest and wen you return you only get your reward ( items and reputation points ) and since you already gained the exp you will not get exp points... keep that in mind.

You probably got it without noticing it.

I guess it may have, if it did I definitely didn't notice. However I believe it didn't say xp gained in the action list until I talked to the captain, maybe I can check

If it happened while I was completeling the quest I didn't notice it. And it seems to say I received the xp in the action history list when I talked to the captain. But maybe I can double check the time of the xp reward and see if it was during the quest...

So if you see the XP gained in the log, how can you be so sure that you don't received it? The yellow XP bar isn't that accurate at higher levels, with the numbers being rounded to some digit. So you don't necessarily see a visible progress although you got the XP correctly.

Edit: Just checked the XP level. You should be somewhere around 100k at level 11, so the 2,600 from the quest should indeed have a noticable impact on your XP bar.

Only problem restart game and your current log is empty..... so thats a bit late to say haha.

You get 2,600 when you activate the lever, and the item reward when you return to town, that's correct.
