no XP credited to my lvl 5 cleric

Currently in Kingsbridge, and mopping up orcs to lvl up a bit. Companion is Grissenda, half a lvl below my own.

I made a donation at the altar in Kingsbridge to help out with leveling, but ever since the XP bar in my character sheet has been stuck on 10k/11k. Nothing will budge it.

I turned on battle stats record to see if any sort of XP action was happening at all, & everything shows up just as it ought to, but my character XP bar wont budge.

I have spent around 4 or 5 game days mopping up each new spawn of orcs but nothing happens...

What gives?

PS... I might have also used an XP scroll as well... I know I thought about it, but can't recall whether I did or not.

Can my character be saved?

Do you have the full version? if not, the cap level is 5. You will see a small lock icon next to your character portrait.

If you are registered and this happens, please tell me what device you are using.

Yes, i have full version... bought it right off the bat. i have other characters (2warriors & 1 rouge) that are lvl 8 & 9.

i just wanted to try a cleric for a bit & he just got stuck. i have some backups on the cloud for all the games, but i got antsy & uninstalled the game then cleaned up my tablet & reinstalled it.

I dont know whether the backups would reinstall on the clean new game, but they are hopefully available for postmortem if necessary.

im currently on a brand new cleric build that hopefully will continue to level as expected.

just wanted to post a note in case others run into something similar.

Whenever something like this happens, best course is to send David saved game when problem arises. Use in-game red support button and attach game backup.

From your description I'm not sure if you still have that backup saved, but if you do, send it to David.

If you go to Main Menu, Store, it says you have Full License? Do you see a small lock icon next to your character portrait each time you gain XP?

Don't worry, you won't lose your game data, but I need to know if it's the license.

yes, ive always had full game....

ive looked at my phones & found one that still has the game in question on it. i can email you that...

just before i gave up on that character, i dismissed Gressanda... but she is not showing up in Kingsbridge. i still have her Astaphs (?) element ring equipped on my cleric though.

i actually started this character by overwriting an older game in the slot i wanted to use. i wonder if that figured in the problems i had?

how do i send u the game?

(the problem character is Jizar Xaltabar) in 2nd slot, though it says its game 3

OK.... i am having the same problem with my new cleric on the newly installed version of this rpg!

YES! the store button says i have FULL License with a check in the Activated box.

New cleric is also stuck on XP 10k/11k right before going from lvl 5 to lvl 6.


Thats two different devices with different installs of the game!

The phone version still has an older cleric character at lvl 8 that i dropped because i had a really weak build on it & didnt want to put more effort into continuing.

Its only the 2 newer clerics that have somehow bexome stuck at XP 10k/11k....

No, but you could have started as a cleric, then maybe moved to other device via cloud but still not having your license detected. Has happened before. But if it says "full" then that's not the case.

Anyways, you said everything looked normal regarding messages, but confirm me if you still see a yellow caption with XP gain over your character when you kill a monster.

either case, please go to continue game > export and cloud, and then save your data to a file. then email me that file called ek.bak, you can send me an email by tapping on the red "support" button on main menu.

I see the floating yellow Xp numbers after a kill... when i look at the running combat log, it also shows the correct info.

BUT on my character sheet the yellow xp bar to the right of my char portrait is frozen on Xp 10k/11k...

i dont get the credit for my kills & my character doesnt level up.


Mind you, this is across devices and different installs, and different versions of clerical characters.

the older clerics on my phone come from backups on the cloud. the new cleric on my tablet i backed up as a file.


also, the cleric that dismissed Grissenda cant find her in kingbridge...


my new cleric that is stuck (Xp wise) is on mount storme map...


I went back to the older lvl 8 cleric out of curiosity, and notice that now it will also not accept new Xp.

In that case its stuck at 43k/48k Xp!

It used to be that the Xp bar would show the complete running total of Xp, to 5 places (as far as i had gotten) but now it just shows that frozen 2 digits number
