No gauntelts of might in the chest?

I rerun twice to the chest marked on the wiki Abbey map, both times no gauntlets of might. I've read the book before opening chest. Are gauntlets appear only after defeating Abbot?

Think I may have marked the wrong chest for the gloves. But they are definitely in the abbey and if you've talked to the statue then all chests should be accessible

They're in the big room with all the death knights that is opened after you talk to the statue.

In the area locked by the gate (north part of map, center), there's a secret door with a chest. I forget which items are in the main chest and which items are hidden behind the secret door but the gauntlets might be in chest behind the secret door.
