Hello all, got the game a week ago and am enjoying it immensely.

Currently playing as a Rogue, level 10 with Grissenda as my companion. I've been looking and have found quite a bit of information on this forum, youtube and via the wiki. I am currently looking to find a list of best current gear and where/how it can be obtained.

I am playing as a ranged rogue at the moment and have both elemental bows but my other gear and Grissenda's is rather limited. I've found the Cowl of fellowship, received the Laboratory gloves and gotten the Magma Shortsword. These are all of the items worth mentioning however.

In my search for best in slot items I've only located a weapons chart Here and seen the images of presumably better items via youtube.

I'm a bit of a min max item hunter so if there are good items that work best with other items that is the information that I am most interested.

Hope some of you experienced people see this and thanks in advance to anyone offering assistance.

For you:
Head-Tiara of Heavens (Jabal Grotto) or Tolassian chain Helm (Izadur Tomb) [might be another I'm forgetting]
Armor-Lionskin Cuirass (A safe bet)
Guantlets-Lab gloves or Tolassian chain guantlets (Izadur Tomb)
Necklace-best resistance for situation (most are comparable [Half-Moon, Forest, Blessed necklace stand out in my mind]
Rings-Ilmaran Signet Ring (Restoring the Faith) Oasis Ring (Sand Vermin)
Cape-Spectral (Outstanding Apprentice) or Nivarian (Dark Matters)
Leggings-Tolassian chain leggings (Izadur Tomb)
Boots-Trollskin Boots (Thick Skin)
Belt-Girdle of Agility (bought from Thieves guild merchant)

For Gris-
Lesser of above list or platemail version. If you use shield for her, Petrified shield is a possible drop from the named dragons. Maybe give her Oasis ring if you're good on HP.

This is just an off the top of my head generic quality equipment. There may be some better unique pieces I've overlooked but this setup covers the basic. I'll let all the Archer fanatics chime in for the choicest pieces.

Cheers guys, I've since gotten or had these items. Using fire or ice bow situationally along with the blue steel poisoned dagger.

My top character is a lvl 16 range rogue. I do quite well with this gear.

My gear is as follows.

Head- Tiara of the Heavens (Detection II, +1 INT/ +1 Armor/ +5hp / +20 Shock Res)
Torso - Assassins Cuirass ( Armor is same as lion skin and Tolassian but has more HP and diverse elemental resistance)
Gloves - Assassins gauntlets ( Armor/HP same as Tolassian but provides more diverse elemental resistance) , Plus Tinkering II for disabling traps and they give lots of exp, always disable traps!
Necklace - Amulet of the Eyes - Detection I , +1 AWA and +13 Spirit to resist status effects.
Bow - Vulcan and Poison Long bow, alternate depending on enemies and circumstance.
Rings- Ilmaran Signet Ring (Detection I, +5 HP/ +20 Fire Res/ +20 Death Res) and Sentient Ring (Detection I, +3 hp/mana (useless for rogue but detection and hp is nice))
Cape- Nivarian Cloak (+8 HP/ +12 Death Res/ +15 Pois Res)
Legs- Assassins Legs ( Armor/HP same as Tolassian but provides more diverse elemental resistance)
Boots - Assassins Boots ( Armor same as Tolassian but provides more HP (+1 more) and diverse elemental resistance)
Belt - Girdle of Agility (+1 AGI, +2 Armor and +8 HP)

Stats without bonus from gear-
Str 3
End 1
AGI 6
INT 1
AWA 3
PER 1

With Gear Bonus

Damage w/ vulcan bow- 20-24, +2 Fire

Res- ( I adjust with rings according to res needs)
Fire - 29
Cold- 11
Shock - 20
Death - 37
Poison - 42
Spirit - 18

ARMOR 20

Skills:

Max Archery, Rapid Fire, Precision Shots and Massive Criticals
Sprint II, Evasion II, Kick II.
