OK, so far I've found 3 shards in these locations/quests
1) The under mother: I decided to betray under mother and work with her offspring (if someone killed the offspring I'd like to know what she drops) to get the shard undermom has. Along with the shard, undermom drops a killer chest piece carapace with +5 armore and +10 health/death/stun.
2) Monster demon under Abby- On your way to demonic lawyer, check the wall opposite his green door on the south wall in the fire. You'll find a secret door that leads to a huge fire pit with him in it (I agroed him to a safe aria without fire after I did the same to his minions, lvl 12 fire demons I think).
3) Red dragon rumor quest- I had to fight him in that cave with the raptors, north west on map. Bring potions, he's a tuff one.
Well that's all I found for now. If anyone found more let us know on this thread.
