Nice. I have little experience with rogue comp. I used warrior comp w/meatshield build for most of the game and that paid off well for me. I mainly ran 2-h build so I was the hammer while she was the anvil. But then I started running cleric and it complimented my 2-h build beautifully. Not to mention clerics work great against undead. AC isn't the greatest because I put most of her points into Int and Per to boost her mana pool. Currently, she's at 24 AC with 160 mana with her healing ability maxed out. I'd say give her a shot but you'll probably have to tweak your bloodthurster build to compensate for traps. I run a balanced build with 5 in Int so I do my own traps and get decent Xp. That helps for when I need to switch to warrior comp for high lvl bosses too, so I don't need to rely on which ever companion I'm running too heavily if the path is laden with traps.

I never thought about doing my own traps...Back in the earlier days you could shove a companion through the trap and be fine, though.

Don't do that now, it ain't cool!

I have discovered that you can lure certain monsters into traps to trigger them. Though this has so far only worked with Dire Wolves in the bandit lair. Minotaurs, on the othe hand, are not as susceptible to such trickery.

One of the things i like about this game are the endless possibilities on how you can achieve whatever goals you set out for yourself. Also, there are no limitations on how you want to play. You can play it at whatever pace you're comfortable with and you don't even need to log in everyday. The game will pick up wherever you left off.
I also like discovering things while exploring that I didn't know about before. For example: I didn't know that there was a secret "Boss room" in Irazur tomb until I accidentally stumbled upon it. I was completely surprised by it. Luckily I had enough potions and stuff to be able to beat him. Tough fight, though.

It's fun to discover new things even if there's a possibility that it can bite you in the ass sometimes.

It would be nice if they fell on traps too. Imagine, u detect a trap, and use the scenario as an advantage.
Yeah. I WISH I could get a minotaur/skeleton/orc to step on a trap. Would definitely make thins easier.

Its not about get easier, but something that lacks in many rpgs is that u cant use the scenario in your combat, or other things.
That's why i love tabletop rpg, we can interact with anything.

My advice would be to play on Casual, even if it means a restart.

I found Normal simply too punishing with the lack of saves in dungeons. Escaping the sewers took dozens of attempts. I did make it, but later I got so weary of repeating dungeons that I restarted.

Best decision ever. I've caught up to where I was before, and am enjoying it so much more. Normal just felt punishingly hard (and I'm a reasonably veteran RPG player).

Interesting, i never try the casual mode.
I have a thing, that i never try the easy mode of the video games, because in general the base difficulty is in normal. And the easy in some negative percentage.
The importance of doing that, is that u challenge yourself, in the base game that the developers have created.

From what I can work out it's the exact same game, with the major difference being able to Quicksave in dungeons. This just makes it less Insta-death/repetitive and more fun.

Like you I usually always play on the Default/Normal level and I did start that way. But saving in dungeons really transformed the fun of this for me in a good way.
