Negative trait points

I was running a lvl 10 warrior to grab Cruelty. I picked up Aedon and noticed he had enough three trait points, enough to get his awareness to three.

The issue arose when after upgrading to three, it instead went to Awareness four. When this occurred, the number of trait points available said -4.

I didn't take a screenshot before reloading a save because I messed up on allocating my warriors trait. However, I did spend about 20 reloads trying to replicate it and was unable too.

Hmmm... You are not the first person to voice a concern about Companions--namely Adon--having negative trait points. In the other cases, it also went away on reloading and couldn't be duplicated. It could be a rare bug with unknown causes. Hiccups can be weird and hard to duplicate.

Device, version, and any other details that could help to find a pattern or cause? Such as was it the first time you picked up Adaon (completing the prison, or after taking a break from it?).
