First, let me say that I've been playing RPGs for about 30 years, and I absolutely LOVE this game. I have been playing it since near the beginning of the beta release and wish more designers would take this approach over the horribly uncreative MMORPGs that seem so popular these days. However, I do have one issue I would like to see fixed. For a reason I can't quite remember (either the option wasn't available in the free version I started with at the time, or I wasn't paying close enough attention), but I would appreciate being able to change the name and image of my level 20 warrior, Anton Dillworth. That's right, the Legendary Hero of Varsilia, who has a full complement of Legion armor and has slain every foe the game has to offer, is named Anton Dillworth.

Agreed. We should make a poll to see if people agree with this issue in the game since I saw other people complain about it as well. Maybe if we have enough votes in favor of name changing perhaps then they could notice the problem.

David has previously mentioned that this will be possible in a future release, but most likely not until after the game goes into production. Remember that the game is still being developed, and names in general are cosmetic and not vital to overall game performance.

In regards to your attempts to start up a poll to make David 'notice the problem', such an act is pointless, as this isn't a democracy - David is creating the game, we are playing it, polls and rhetoric designed to force minor changes whilst much more important material remains to be implemented are just unnecessary.

Just be patient, of all the issues that the man has to work through, the naming issue must be secondary to development of material and completion of the beta project.

On the effectiveness of polls, I had a poll where a large number of people voted for swampdonkeys and I understand that this is his vision, not my own, and if the man doesn't want swampdonkeys in the fens, there isn't going to be any swampdonkeys in the fens.

That's okay.

This game is great without them.

A troll can hope, but if there is a swampdonkey invasion, it'll probably be after beta is over.

The point I'm trying to make is try to appreciate what we have here, a kick axe game, a developer who tries to make us happy, and a community where we can all talk about how awesome this is.
