Met the Grandmaster

I figured i had seen the last of the monks after figuring out their riddle. I just had a random encounter with them, accompanied by their Grandmaster.. i answered all 3 of his questions correctly on the first encounter. Was rewarded with 4 scrolls of detection and 1 potion of lesser restoration...

Anyone have any different results? Have different rewards? Or have to fight with him? I was curious to his level.

No I haven't updated yet. I'm still on 8.939.... I've been checking for updates but my version is still up to date. I don't think they will be releasing the new update until this weekend.

But I have never encountered the Grandmaster with the monks.... I hadn't even seen the monks since I figured out their riddle.... but today, they monks and the Grandmaster were north of Lannegar and then I encountered the 3 monks by theirselves south of the town, but couldn't talk to them...

2 different random monk encounters were released in Build 939... You have to complete the first to get the second as it is a continuing storyline.

The entire Random Section is under heavy construction... Eventually, after all my other projects for the wiki are complete, I will get them added there... lol.

I did get the merchants added and what they might be selling as part of the item project.

Warrior Jay, would you be at all interested in being the lead for the wiki Random section? I could set up an easy to use template, give you some basics and let you create the section in your own way.

Ive been roaming the areas and roads at night with my warrior...I've encountered the enraged hill giant twice tonight. He is randomly popping up as he should.... the monks are ellusive as ever... but ive seen about every random encounter listed at least once in the last hour... just not the bandits... the 3 outlaws, lead by the outlaw chief pop up a lot, they demand money and attack... not sure if I remember a random encounter with a regular bandit
