I searched the best I could and did not find an answer to my issue, so here it is:

With the Mage Armor skill, it expires after 'X' hits (depending on skill level).

I also noticed it expires when changing areas, such as entering a dungeon.

I also have seen it expire after being up for a while when in the same zone and not being hit. Does it have a time limit as well?
Is there any visual clues to how many hits remain on the duration? Thank you all for your help!

1) No visual. I don't think that you have any time to count either since mages have very edgy gameplay.
2) It last about 30-40 seconds so you shouldn't rly worry about casting it in wrong time.
3) It expire if you change location, yep.

All buffs, either from spells or skills, end at map change. So be mindful of that when entering dungeons with multiple maps (i.e. levels) or when on the world map running around.

Ye lost some scroll buff 3 times in a row just cause when i'm trying to search for secrets i acidently walk to exit xD
