As David started off with the Warrior and Rogue, there are a lot more warrior weapons. The cloak can be a very nice choice, especially if you have the advanced skill Body Development.
Alternatively to completing the quest (unless you're a perfectionist like me
) you could attempt to take the items King M'dmoo has...by force, potentially keeping all 3 items.

You forgot about the priestess. Killing her yields charm of great seer, and the other option gives you a choice of: ring of the bull, or ring of holiness
