I may be a little hard core in my play style but are restrictions on a characters level needed in this game? The only two areas i can think of are the first wizard quest to get merple and the quest to re-take the fort south of kingsbridge. The merple one i completed in normal difficulty easily. The fort i have not yet tried solo but with the soldiers from warriors guild i do not think it would be impossible. This with a lower level warrior.
Any thoughts???

I think the restrictions are for gameplay purposes. Especially the orc quest, since you get really nice gear as a reward. Having this too early in the game wont be nice. It's the same like killing dragons for the rewards, you can't do them until you're strong enough.

That is true. Rewards are scaled to the level of the character. But just for the sake of challenge alone it would be fun to see what you could do with a lower level character. In the warrior game i am playing atm for example im not buying heals. (i do use the ones i find or get as reward and quest for cheaper moderates) But im going to all the towns i can and buying good armor and weapons. So im lvl 7 or 8 and getting set to finish web of terror...
Instead of spending 1k or 4k on a vault i can buy some nice steel shield and a blued steel longsword. Or a magma longsword if a shady traveller has one for sale.
Its just another way to play the game and how replayability is important. If you already played through everything once. You do it again As another class. And you can try different things.
Anyway just my thoughts

In regards to the Fort Assault quest. I think the level requirement for it is fine. Once I hit Lv 9 and completed the quest (with my warrior) it gave me enough reputation with the Warriors guild so i could join up. Once that happened and I got access to Advance skills I've been an unstoppable force!
But I can see with other characters or one not wanting to join the guild it could be frustrating. Just gotta keep grinding and doing other quests till Lv 9. At least for me I have never been bored or frustrated when I need to grind for better gear and or levels. There is so much to do while waiting to hit a certain level. Between exploring, doing quests and grinding. Never a dull moment. I love this game more and more everyday.

Im not really frustrated or bored it is i agree completely an insanely fun game. Mostly im just thinking about replayability and seeing how i can play a lower level character with the knowledge of a player who has gotten really far in the game. It is very challenging and fun even on normal difficulty to be going against trolls and minotaurs at level 7 the game is never boring when your exploring and a trap kills you. Its hardcore lite i guess haha

Only a handful of things are restricted by level in the game... if you want to aim at high level content and loot with a low level character, you can. Certain quests that unlock events, however, I have scripted to happen at certain levels. And early access to guilds can also be a problem, balance-wise.
