Hi,

Yesterday I entered the Jabal Grotto, after geting the "help" of the vagabond with the barrier.

As I was unnaware of what tould happen, I realized that I couldn't get out of that place after passing the barrier line. Then, I loaded a previously saved game (I always save right before entering dungeons, thankfully), to buy a scroll of recall to get a way out... just to realise, many spiders later, that recall scrolls doesn't work on that place!!! GRRRRRRRRR lol

Luckily for me, I decided to explore the dungeon clocwise (got the poetry quest first, then killed the warrior to get that amazing sword, then killed the druid and only then headed for the female boss), what made my final fight a lot "less hard". But I didn't imagine how hard that dungeon would be (too much annoying spiders and two tough minibosses), and when I was about to enter the room with the final female boss, I had almost no healing resources. And I had NO IDEA of how strong would be the female boss, and my main character, a rogue, was at level 10 (with Grissenda at level 9).

Fortunately, I am quite good at tactics and strategy, and managed to kill the boss.

And only now, after winning the battle on my first attempt, I read that the boss was LEVEL 14... And I say: WHAT???? If I knew it beforehand, I would NEVER enter that dungeon before level 15.

Conclusions:
1 - Save, save, save, always!!!
2 - Don't be afraid, in doubt, throw your hero on the fire, the worse that can happen is you losing some play time (in that grotto's case, well... you may lose A LOT of playing time... gasp).
3 - Level differences are not a big deal, providing you plan your attack. Say this to that kingsbridge captain!!! He only allowed me to fight that orcs after reaching level 9... I am quite sure that I could kick that orc' butt when I was level 5!!! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

Truthfully with a good death resistance on griss and without the 2 troublesome minions you wont even need pots just keep hitting her from behind. Dont forget theres a death resistance potion on the throne.

It was easier when I killed the Vagabond. Could go in and out as I pleased from the dungeon

Well, with two younger schizophrenic brothers, I have compassion for mad people, and let the vagabond go. ;-)

And dont forget.

Spoiler on Web of Terror aftermath
The story of the vagabond is not yet completely written. Whether you fight him and he runs, or he traps you and runs, he is alive and will, at some point, show back up in Freetown. How you handle him prior to the Grotto may have ramifications we can't predict at the moment.
