Launch problem on Samsung A50 - Game tools message interfering

I just got a new phone (Samsung A50) and the Exiled Kingdoms app, which worked fine on my S7 seems to be broken by game tools on the A50. When I try to launch the game, I get this flashing message on the screen, something about full screen mode, but it goes by way too fast to read. There's also a menu bar that slides on and off the screen repeatedly, but also moves too fast to actually do anything with.

I tried disabling the game launcher (I can't seem to find a way of disabling the game tools app directly), but I still get this message. I contacted Samsung support and they told me to contact the Exiled Kingdoms support. Any suggestions as to how I can get the damn Samsung app to stop interfering with the game?

You need to disable the Screen Overlay permission, also called "Draw Over other Apps", you can find this in settings> permissions, although it can be located differently depending on the phone.

I've denied both Game tools and game launching from drawing over but I'm still having the same problem. Maybe it's some other app--I don't seem to be able to work backward on this version of Android and see what apps have permission to draw over.
It might help if the stupid message didn't flash off and on too fast for me to read it.

I fixed the problem. It turned out not to be game tools, but this system message that was popping up because it was the first time I had the phone in full screen mode. I fixed it by getting another game which allowed me to actually see the message and okay it so it went away. E
