I have enough reputation to buy a house in new garand and nivarian and enough gold too. I am not sure what are the benefits for buying a house are. Maybe buying a new house will provide extra space for items and weapons. My all four vaults are full so i am thinking of buying one. Maybe i might have to pay large amount of taxes so i am not sure about buying one or not. Any suggestions?

Yes! You get additional storage chests which are handy for storing occasionally-used equipment (various specialists damages and resistances for self and companions) and as such you will be able to free up some magical vault space; but IMO as-or-more importantly it's a handy mechanism to change your companions.

Indeed my one complaint about houses is Freetown doesn't have one.

Depends. If you like to hoard extra gear, and swap Companions a lot, than a house can be useful. (I suggest Nirvanna House as it has the Town Vault Access Ord inside the house.

BUT, if you're playing a more fast paced game with less grinding, and not swapping Companions, you might save your gold for equipment, potions or Advanced Skills. (The +2 Belts cost almost as much as the New Garand house.) Between the the four town Vaults, the two storage chests in the Tower of Tremadan and the bag of holding, you really do have a decent amount of storage space, even without a house.

What I suggest is keeping your main character's gear, potions and quest items in Town Vaults, and stashing long term items in the Tower (long term quest items, items you may need once in the game, gear for your non-primary Companions). That allows you to swap out elemental protection in town as needed per quest / area, And keeps your Vaults from getting too cluttered with rarely used items.

Most players will be able to acquire the New Garand House far earlier in the game.

It does depend on your level, early on 25k is quite a pot of treasure, but it's about 5 clears of Xialdar Cave or 10 clears of Crimson Hills.
